Joshua chapter 1 & 2
1. Moses’ Death 1:1-2
“Moses My servant is dead. Now therefore, arise . . .”
2. The Measurement of the Land 1:3-4
“Every place that the sole of your foot will tread upon I have given you, . . . shall be your territory.”
3. Be Mighty and Motivated! 1:5-7
“Be strong and of good courage, . . . Only be strong and very courageous”
4. Meditate in the Book! 1:8
“you shall meditate in it day and night, . . . will have good success”
5. Be Mighty and Motivated: No Fear! 1:9
“Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed”
6. Mobilize the Camp! 1:10-15
“Prepare . . . yourselves, to go in to possess the land”
7. We are Mighty and Motivated! 1:16-17
“we will do . . . Only be strong and of good courage”
8. The Men to Spy 2:1-7
Joshua sent out two men . . . to spy secretly, saying, “Go, view the land”
9. The Melted Hearts 2:8-15
“And as soon as we heard these things, our hearts melted”
10. The Mountain Hideaway 2:16-22
“Get to the mountain,”. . . The pursuers sought them . . . but did not find them
11. Mission Accomplished: Good Report! 2:23-24
“Truly the LORD has delivered all the land into our hands, for indeed all the inhabitants of the country are fainthearted because of us.”
